Nintendo Pokemon GO game officially hit app stores in Australia and New Zealand today. The two countries, which are already known for their exotic wildlife such nightmarish gigantic spiders and snakes, are now seeing is flooded by an adorable digital fauna. However, it seems that players come through several of these Pokémon in some rather unexpected places.
De gutters toilet bowls, Pokemon GO creatures found players like Magikarp Drowsy and in places they prefer not to find them. Fans who managed to download the application were downloading screen shots of them hilarious, even tripping over their Squirtles for bathroom breaks. Although the entire meeting is all done digitally, it is slightly soul-crushing to see the fans childhood friends sneak up on them while they are in rather compromising positions.
With more than 50,000 downloads, Twitter is now flooded with fun players who are eager to share their strange encounters with the faithful. For example, the user @Hammy_UK uploaded a photo to prepare him to hang a Squirtle a bathroom cramped while @Daniel_Sloss jokingly wrote that Scotland was so wet that even water could Pokemon be taken in the streets after finding a Magikarp sitting on a parked Jeep. @ReversalYouTube User even posted a picture of him holding a frying pan that is seen holding a Magikarp, so clearly, many of these strange places are a nod to some black humor.
Pokemon GO is still unavailable in territories outside the two countries, but fans have found ways to download the application by adjusting the geolocation of their phone. So far the game has accumulated excellent reviews nostalgic fans who are simply amazed that they can now take their favorite Pokémon. The application triggers the same species to appear for players based on their location, and already, the Australian police have warned users to avoid pregnant if all they want is to catch Pokemon.
There is no word yet on whether fans can expect more Pokemon to flood their bathrooms in the future. Personally, I find it funny to see a Vaporeon hide in my shower. What do you all think? Where is the strangest place you could imagine running into a Pokémon?
