The Pokemon GO servers are down again. Users began to report gambling problems around 11:45 that degenerated quickly into a full blown server crash about 12 EDT. Accidents seem to fit very well to lunch on the East Coast, where many players are jumping on the game while walking to lunch.
Pokemon GO was experiencing server problems when the game launched Wednesday. When the game soft launched in Australia, fans quickly overloaded the server (probably because of the number of non-Australian fans who have found a way around the geographical boundaries). The servers then crashed Wednesday night, shortly after the release of the game, then declined for the better part of the day Thursday. Although the service was partially restored Thursday night, many players have complained about not being able to connect through the accounts of the club for their coach because of the database of the Pokemon Company down for maintenance. The fans are growing impatient with breakdowns due to Niantic Labs (the developer of Pokemon GO ) refusing to recognize the problem, except for a message that was posted on their website yesterday.
Pokemon GO is the number one app in the US, and the stock of Nintendo has a 9% jump this morning due to the good performance of the application. Of course, Pokemon GO "of popularity could be adversely affected if the server crashes continue, so let's hope Nintendo strengthens its server power by all means available.
